Itinerary
Cairo excursion from Makadi bay & Sahl Hasheesh by bus.
You will be picked up by your German-speaking tour guide from your hotel in Makadi bay or Sahl Hasheesh around 3:00 a.m. in a comfortable and air-conditioned small bus. The excursion will be carried out in a small group with a maximum of 6 people.
We drive along the coast and through the desert (a little tip for you, bring a pillow so you can sleep a little comfortably while driving). After about 250 km we take a breakfast break.
Arrived in Cairo (around 8:00 a.m.) we drive through the mighty city gate of Cairo and get a first impression of the size and size of this metropolis.
As the first point of our tour we visit the pyramids of Giza. The pyramids of Giza are among the most famous and oldest buildings of mankind and have been a World Heritage Site since 1979. The Giza pyramid field has been an important cemetery since the 1st Dynasty. The pyramids were created around 2620 to 2500 BC. in the 4th dynasty. The largest and probably best known pyramid is that of the Pharaoh Chepos (Chepos ancient Egyptian called Chufu) he ruled around 2620 to 2580 BC and was the second king of the ancient Egyptian 4th dynasty. You have enough time to marvel at these impressive buildings and let them take effect. Our experienced guide will certainly tell you a lot about the history and how it came about. Do not be afraid to ask all your questions, our guides will be happy to answer all your questions. Of course, your guide is also happy to assist you as your photographer so that you can take beautiful memories home with you, so don't forget your camera.
As the next point of our trip we visit Great Sphinx of Giza.
It represents a lying lion with a human head and was probably built in the 4th dynasty during the reign of Chephren around 2520 to 2494 BC. The Sphinx has been protruding from the sand of the Egyptian desert for more than four millennia, most of which was covered in sand to the head, which contributed to its preservation. Remnants of paint on the ear indicate that the figure was originally painted.
Now we drive to a cozy and nice restaurant where we have lunch.
We continue our journey strengthened and visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is the world's largest museum of ancient Egyptian art. It is located on Al Tahirr Square in downtown Cairo and was built in 1900. The opening took place in 1902. The exhibition extends over two floors with over 100 halls. You can see jewelry of Queen Ahhotep I. Mummies of the pharaohs of the new empire. Gifts from the royal tombs and artifacts from royal tombs and of course much more. Here in the museum too, your guide will feed you his knowledge and explain everything to you well.
After this impressive day we drive you back to your hotel in Makadi bay and Sahl Hasheesh.
We would like to point out once again that our perfectly German-speaking tour guide stays by your side all day and is happy to answer any questions, requests and concerns you may have. Just talk to us and we will try everything possible to fulfill your wishes. We run this excursion in a small group so that we can deal with our guests and respond to their questions.
