Private 2-day trip to Luxor from Cairo by plane

Our team will meet you at the agreed time in the lobby of your hotel in Cairo or Giza. You will then travel by air-conditioned vehicle (car/minivan) to Cairo Airport. From there, your approximately one-hour flight from Cairo to Luxor will depart. In Luxor, your tour guide, a qualified English-speaking Egyptologist, will be waiting for you. He will accompany you for both days and will plan the order of the sightseeing tours individually for you, allowing you to avoid the tourist crowds. After a welcome soft drink in Luxor, you will begin exploring the city.
The Karnak Temple
The Karnak Temple in Luxor is the largest temple complex in Egypt. This impressive site is an outstanding relic of ancient Egyptian civilization. Construction began as early as the 16th century BC and continued for many centuries. Closely connected to the temples in West Thebes, it played a central role in the lives of the ancient Egyptians.
The main area of the temple is characterized by monumental pylons marking the entrances to the various sacred spaces, as well as towering obelisks and majestic colonnades. The complex is considered to have significant religious importance. At the same time, Karnak was a major center for political and social activity.
The Luxor Temple
The Luxor Temple was built during the New Kingdom and was known as the Southern Harem of Amun. It served two purposes: firstly, it was the site of the king's union with his divine Ka, and secondly, it was the location for the Opet Festival. During the Opet Festival, statues of the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu were brought from the Karnak Temple, 2.5 km away, to the Luxor Temple via the Avenue of Sphinxes. If you like, you can take a stroll along the Avenue of Sphinxes.
Lunch
At lunchtime, we will serve you a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Enjoy Egyptian cuisine.
Evening and overnight stay
In the afternoon, you will be driven to your 5-star hotel for check-in. In the evening, we will serve you a sumptuous dinner. Afterwards, you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
Should you wish to participate in further activities, you have the option, for an additional fee, toThere is an opportunity to visit the temple again. There you can enjoy the unique atmosphere of the illuminated temple and attend an approximately half-hour sound and light show. The light show will bring you closer to the ancient history of Egypt.
Of course, you can also simply enjoy the atmosphere of Luxor at night and stroll around the city a bit.

This morning you have the option of taking a hot air balloon ride. An early start is required. At the ballooning site, the balloons will be filled before you board. You'll drift over Luxor's monumental buildings and the surrounding green fields as the sun rises. After landing, enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel.
Those who don't want to get up quite so early can enjoy the sunrise from the ground with a view over the Nile.
After breakfast, you check out of the hotel and continue your sightseeing tour.
Medinet Habu
Medinet Habu is part of the ancient necropolis of Thebes-West. Within the Medinet Habu site is a large mortuary temple of Ramses III, one of the most stylistically perfect buildings in Egypt.
Partially well-preserved bas-reliefs depict the pharaoh's victories over the Sea Peoples and Libyans. During the Coptic period, the town of Djeme was established within the large city walls. Its builders utilized the defensive structures offered by the Medinet Habu district, and the forecourt of the Temple of Ramses III was used as a church.
The Valley of the Kings - Egypt's famous pharaohs' tombs
One of Egypt's most important archaeological sites is the Valley of the Kings, located on the west bank of Luxor. This necropolis was once the final resting place of many famous pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. The elaborately designed tombs with their magnificent wall paintings reflect the religious symbolism of ancient Egypt.
Your guide will show you the three most beautiful tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Optionally, you can visit the tombs of Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. Tickets for these tombs can only be purchased on site.
The Temple of Hatshepsut
Also known as Deir el-Bahari, the Temple of Hatshepsut is an architectural masterpiece. Built during the 18th Dynasty for the powerful Queen Hatshepsut, the temple symbolized her extraordinary reign. Let yourself be captivated by this unique temple and its exceptional architecture.
The Colossi of Memnon
The Colossi of Memnon are two imposing statues that were once part of a temple dedicated to the sun god Amun-Re and depict Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Built more than 3,000 years ago, they are a testament to the impressive architecture of the ancient Egyptians.

On the second day, your tour guide will again take you to an excellent lunch at a local restaurant.
Return trip to Cairo
After all these unique experiences, it's time to begin your return flight to Cairo this evening. Your tour guide will take you to Luxor Airport and bid you farewell. Once you've landed back in Cairo, your transfer to your hotel will be waiting for you.
