Tag 1: El Gouna – Luxor
We will pick you up from your hotel in El Gouna. You will travel by car from El Gouna directly to Luxor, where your guide, a English-speaking Egyptologist, will meet you. Your private guide will accompany you throughout the day, showing you the monuments of ancient Egypt. You will see the Karnak Temple on the east bank of the Nile with its temples, pylons, and chapels. Afterward, you will enjoy a relaxed lunch at a restaurant. You will then cross the Nile to the City of the Dead in a felucca, a traditional sailing boat.
You will visit the Colossi of Memnon in Thebes West, the last remaining vestiges of the Temple of Amenhotep III. Be captivated by the architecture of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings and marvel at the Temple of Hatshepsut. At the end of the day, you will return to a first-class hotel in Luxor for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Luxor – Cairo
In the morning, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for your direct flight to Cairo. Your guide will be waiting for you there and will lead you to the legendary Pyramids of Giza. Here you can explore the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the colossal Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre. Your guide will share fascinating insights into these monumental sites. Next, you will travel to Saqqara, Egypt's oldest necropolis, with its famous Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser. En route, you will stop in Memphis, Egypt's first capital. After these many impressions, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Refreshed, you return to Cairo's city center. There, you stroll through the old city, along El Moaz Street, where you'll see, among other things, the Al-Azhar Mosque and the Khan El-Khalili bazaar, one of the most famous markets in the Middle East. In the evening, you check into a high-class hotel in Cairo and enjoy dinner before relaxing and ending the day.
Day 3: Cairo – El Gouna
After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and travel to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Here you will discover numerous masterpieces from the dynasties of Egypt and the treasure of Tutankhamun, including his golden death mask. A delicious lunch at a selected restaurant will round off the morning.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Muhammad Ali Mosque, the famous Alabaster Mosque. Afterwards, you will have some free time to explore the city on your own before your return flight to El Gouna after these three exciting and busy days. We will, of course, take you back to your hotel.
