Accompanied by an experienced Egyptologist, you will immerse yourself in the fascinating history of ancient Egypt and gain deep insights into the life of the pharaohs."
You will be met by our team in the lobby of your hotel in Hurghada early in the morning and driven to Hurghada Airport in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. From there you take off by plane for your approximately one-hour flight from Hurghada to Cairo. Your tour guide, a German-speaking Egyptologist, will meet you there. He will accompany you all day and can tell you a lot about the sights, the country and its people.
Right at the beginning you drive to the Giza Plateau. The pyramid complex dates from the 4th Dynasty and consists of the three main pyramids, six small pyramids, the great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre. The Great Pyramid is the oldest and largest pyramid on the Giza Plateau. It is the only one of the 7 wonders of the world that has been preserved. Its height is 147 m and 2.3 million stones were used during the 20-year construction period. At 20 m high, 73 m long and 6 m wide, the Sphinx is the largest statue in the world and the oldest known monumental sculpture. The mortuary temple of Khafre was used by the ancient Egyptians for the mummification process and is the only one of its kind on the Giza Plateau. You have the option to visit the burial chamber in the great pyramid for an additional charge. The ticket for this can only be purchased on site.
After a hearty lunch, drive to the Egyptian National Museum in Tahrir Square. In the museum you can see objects from different periods of ancient Egyptian culture and history, as well as treasures and the gold mask from the tomb of Tutankhamun.
Would you be interested in visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum instead of the Egyptian National Museum in Tahrir Square? This is possible for an additional fee of 20 euros per person.
You will then start your exclusive city tour through modern-day Cairo, which ends in the old town of Cairo. Here you walk along El Moaz Street through the picturesque old town, which gives you a comprehensive impression of life in earlier times. This exclusive excursion ends with a short stroll through the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar, once founded on the site of a former Mamluk cemetery.
You will drive to the airport in Cairo to take your flight back to Hurghada. After landing, we will take you back to your hotel after an unforgettable day.

Great trip, we will book again next time
I really enjoyed my trip to Cairo, even though the day was very long. Everything was super organized, both the pick up from the hotel and the flight to Cairo with the subsequent tour. We traveled with a small group of 5 people.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all additional questions with patience. A big compliment also to the driver who excellently moved in the chaotic traffic in Cairo. It was really impressive.
Thank you very much for this great day and many greetings to Egypt again. I will definitely be back.
