Itinerary
We will pick you up with an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Cairo & Giza or 6 October City. we first drive to Egyptian Museum. A competent German-speaking Egyptologist who is familiar with the history of Egypt will accompany you throughout the tour.
The museum houses the world's largest and richest collection of Egyptian artifacts, including King Tutankhamun's priceless treasures.
Then we drive to old Cairo to visit some of the oldest churches and pilgrimage sites in Egypt. Located at the in-house gate of the old Roman fortress, the Hanging Church is the most famous Cairo Coptic Church. The Bin Ezra Synagogue is one of the most important Jewish sites in the city and a historic place of pilgrimage for North African Jews. The fourth-century Abu Serga Church stands on the square that is believed to have been the Holy Family's resting place since the end of their trip to Egypt. The Al Azhar Mosque dates from the 10th century and is located in an area with beautiful Islamic monuments. When you explore old Cairo, your guide will inform you about the varied and complex history of the region.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then drive to Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Built in 1382, this historic bazaar is a lively center of trade and communication in Cairo and offers a wide range of antiques and handicrafts, as well as numerous cafes and restaurants.
