Itinerary: Cairo & Giza Grand Egyptian Museum full day tour by plane
We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning. You will travel by air-conditioned vehicle directly to Hurghada Airport, from where you will fly directly to Cairo. When you arrive in Cairo, our German-speaking guide, a trained Egyptologist, will meet you and drive you to the Giza Plateau. The pyramid complex on the Giza Plateau dates back to the 4th Dynasty around 2400 BC. BC and consists of the three main pyramids, six small pyramids, the great sphinx and the valley temple.
The Great Pyramid is the oldest and largest pyramid on the Giza Plateau. It is the only one of the 7 wonders of the world that has been preserved. Its height is 147 m and 2.3 million stones were used in the 20-year construction period. At 20 m high, 73 m long and 6 m wide, the Sphinx is the largest statue in the world and the oldest known monumental sculpture. The mortuary temple was used by the ancient Egyptians for the mummification process and is the only one of its kind on the Giza Plateau.
Before continuing to the New Egyptian Museum, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. In the world-famous new Grand Museum you then have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of the legendary Golden King. You will embark on an impressive audiovisual adventure through 3,400 years of Egyptian history. You'll be guided up the Grand Staircase, where over 60 historically significant pieces are on display, providing a deeper understanding of the civilization from which the legend of King Tutankhamun originated. After the many new impressions, you will fly back to Hurghada. From there we will take you back to your hotel.
